Sílvio Marchini | General Coordinator
Doctorate student in Wildlife Conservation at the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit (WildCRU), Oxford University in England, and a master's degree in ecology from the Missouri Botanical Garden and University of Missouri in Saint Louis, United States. For over 10 years he has conducted research in tropical forest ecology and conservation as part of the Biological Dynamics of Forest Fragments (BDDF) project in Manaus, Barro Colorado Island - Panama, La Selva - Costa Rica and Luquillo in Puerto Rico. He was academic director of the Program for Management of Amazon Resources and Human Ecology in the School for International Training - SIT. He was coordinator of the Pantanal Conservation Program of the Wildlife Conservation Society and the Mamirauá Institute. silvio@escoladaamazonia.org |
