Teachers are important allies in efforts to conserve biodiversity across the Amazonian agricultural frontier
The project "Continuing Education for Teachers" aims to train and update teachers particularly in Alta Floresta and surrounding region, enabling them to communicate effectively the threats to and possible solutions for sustainable development in the Amazon agricultural frontier.
Teachers from different fields are invited to participate in the "Workshop of Conservation" and "A day in the Forest", helping students and at the same time, learning. After this process, the professionals are invited to prepare a brief written summary of their experience, which may be used to support activities in their schools.
Thus, the Project "Continuing Education for Teachers" supports the training of various professionals in the area of Education, which plays a key role in developing educative multipliers in their learning institutions. |
